The Institute’s Board of Trustees and staff has been engaged during the past several years in extensive program planning and fundraising to address DMEI’s current and future space needs. As a result of these efforts, a new 78,500 square foot building adjoining the current 70,000 square foot DMEI facility has been constructed and is now open. The new five-floor building is devoted to approximately 40% research, 40% patient care, and 20% infrastructure.

To date, $46 million has been contributed to the construction and renovation project by visionary individuals, corporations, organizations, and foundations.
